Last week we were visited by renowned children’s author, Denise Kirby, whose book 88 Lime Street is a very popular borrowing from the Westcourt Library. Denise gave a very lively presentation, using her own book and her other works to enthuse the boys about the craft of writing. She gave some excellent tips on how to approach the creative process, where ideas come from and how to use words for special effects.
